My Husband, Ray and I are empty nesters, with the exception of Gigi, our crazy bengal cat Trip and a temporary resident (we think), a python named Monty. We work hard and play harder. Ray and I have been married for 8 years. We love living in the mountains, jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, skiing the greatest snow on earth, traveling the world, scuba diving and boating.

Ray and I first met in 1991 at a drop zone where we were both active skydivers. We didn’t get together as a couple until 2003 when we both ended up single at the same time.

We are a blended family, with Ray’s 3 children and my 2 children and 6 grandchildren.

Michelle is Ray’s oldest and is married to Clinton; they have 3 children, Tyler, Sawyer and Addie. Nicole is Ray’s middle child and is married to Randy; they have 2 children, Kinsey and Jordan. Justin is Ray’s youngest child and is married to Jen; they have 1 child, Ryker.

Chantel is my oldest child, is single and an RN working as a traveling nurse. Sierra is my youngest child, single and attending college in Colorado majoring in snowboarding, I think. :)

From left to right: Randy, Nicole, Jordan, Kinsey, Ray, Chantel, Michelle, Tyler, Clinton, Sawyer, Jen, Justin and Sierra.  Missing are me (I was taking the picture), Ryker and Addie (they weren’t born yet).  So hard to get everyone together!

Ray and I have been working together for 11 years. Ray is a mediator (used to be an attorney, then Judge) and I am a paralegal. We are SO busy! In a different law office every day, 5 days a week and booked out 2-3 months. We tend to get a lot of really complicated cases and never know how long our day is going to be. Our longest mediation went 18 hours, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Ugh!

Halloween 2015

Ray and I went to Michelle’s house for soup on Halloween, then spent the evening going around the neighborhood with Michelle, Nicole, their husbands and their kids trick or treating.  It was a really nice weather ~ very pleasant for this time of year.  We had a great time! Read more →

Super Bowl Sunday

Today is the super bowl Sunday.  Ray and I aren’t big sports fans, but it’s always fun to be a part of the energy of the Super Bowl, even if it is just at home with Gigi and Trip.  The teams are the Patriots v. Seahawks.  I think I’ll make some appetizers for us to snack on while we watch… Read more →
