The Mikobox Qi Wireless Charging Pad is a charging device used to charge all cell phones/devices that are Qi standard; however, some devices, such as Apple devices, will require an adapter (not included) to work with the Mikobox Qi Wireless Charging Pad.
The Mikobox Qi Wireless Charging Pad is small, lightweight and very portable. It will easily fit in my handbag or back pocket. It comes with the USB cord.
To use the Mikobox Qi Wireless Charging Pad, simply plug the USB cord into the pad and the other end into and AC USB adapter or a USB port on your computer. A red light illuminates on the pad to indicate it is ready to charge. Place your Qi enabled device on the pad and it charges! No plugs required! The red light turns blue when the phone is charging. You can also see on the display screen on your phone that it’s being charged. The charging pad has non-slip rubber on both the bottom and top to help avoid having your device slip off.
I have tested and reviewed several Qi Wireless Charging Pads and they are definitely not all created equal.
My husband has a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I have an iPhone 6S. My husband drinks Diet Coke. I drink Diet Pepsi. But that has nothing to do with anything.
My husband has a very thick, durable case on his Samsung Galaxy S6 and the charging pad he uses charges quickly through his case with no problems what-so-ever.
I have a medium thickness case on my iPhone and the charging pad I use (with the required adapter) as well as every charging pad I’ve tested with my iPhone will work with the case on, except this one, the Mikobox Qi Wireless Charging Pad. It does charge fine as long as the case is off my iPhone.
If I have to go to the trouble of taking the case off of my iPhone, worrying about it getting scratched or damaged while the case is off, it’s not worth it to me to use a Qi Wireless Charging Pad. I would rather leave the case on and plug the phone into a cord.
I love using charging pads because I can set my iPhone on the pad next to me while working at my desk. I don’t have to worry about unplugging it and plugging it back in every time I’m on the phone and want to move more than 3 feet away from the wall charger. That being said, I won’t be using the Mikobox Qi Wireless Charging Pad since it won’t charge through my case.
I’m unsure how this charging pad works with very thin cases. If you don’t mind removing the case, or if it will work through a very thin protective case, this is a good, inexpensive charging pad.
I received the Mikobox Qi Wireless Charging Pad at a discount in exchange for my honest, unbiased review, which I have given to assist other buyers in making informed purchasing decisions.
